Pauly's Pub - Week 15 Update
**** Thursday and Saturday games this week! *********
Team of the Week: Istanbul Bulls - 15
The Skinny: The finish line looms. After four long months of football, it's definitely crunch time with a mere two weeks to go. Although Shakedown Street (Pauly) is still in the topspot, G-Vegas Lime Tossers (Otis) jumped into second place after picking up a point on the leader. Oyster Bay Moore (J. Moore) and South Texas Chill (Storms) are tied for third with BiG PeRm BiG WoRm (Armen) and El Rey de Pechos (TheFatGuy) tied for 5th place. A gaggle of players all jockeying for position as the pool is heading down the home stretch, including Istanbul Bulls (Schanzer) who made the biggest leap in the standings. He posted a near perfect week and went 15-1. He picked up four points on Shakedown Street, which was good enough to thrust him into a three-way tie for 7th place.
The Straight Dope: You have only two more weekends to make up ground on the lead pack. This is still wide open, especially with the top 4 spots paying out prize money.

The Skinny: With two weeks to go, it looks like Purple People Pickers (Drizz) is well on his way to a championship. He added a couple of more points to his lead over Ribboy's Latrells (Derek) in second place. Unless Ribboy can make up some ground the next two weeks, then he'll have to settle for a second best. JJ's Funky Chicken Shack won team of the week honors to jump into third place but I doubt that he can make a run at the title.

The Skinny: With three weeks to go, Shakedown Street (Pauly) retained the top spot with 13 wins in Week 14. Yeah, I can't believe I'm winning this late into the season and I'm doing my best not to choke. Oyster Bay Moore (J. Moore) and South Texas Chill (Storms) are in second place by just a single point. The chase pack seems to be separating a bit with G-Vegas Lime Tossers (Otis) slipping to 4th place and El Rey de Pechos (TheFatGuy) knocked down to 5th place. BiG PeRm BiG WoRm (Armen) and The Best of the Worst (Drizz) are tied for 6th place and are four points out.
The Straight Dope: The top 4 places pay out and there's plenty of opportunity to win the entire pool if you are at the top. And for those of you in the middle, you still have a chance to sneak into the 4th place money spot. Every game counts with three weeks to go. I'll be in Las Vegas this weekend glued to the sportsbook keeping an eye on all of the games.

The Skinny: The pressure is on. Thanksgiving has come and gone and December is upon us. There are four weeks left in the season. Every game counts! Shakedown Street (Pauly) is in sole possession of first place after going 3-0 on Turkey Day to take the lead. There's a four-way tie for second place... Oyster Bay Moore (J. Moore), El Rey de Pechos (TheFatGuy), South Texas Chill (Storms), and G-Vegas Lime Tossers (Otis) are only one game back. And there's a group of eight others led by Austin Drunks (M. Stephans), who are breathing down our necks.
The Straight Dope: The top 4 teams pay. Anyone has a legit shot at making the money. If you can make up at least two wins every week for the rest of the season, you can catch 8 games on the leaders. Don't forget to do your picks. With $420 on the line for first place, don't blow the pool because you didn't check your picks before you submitted them!
